"The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they
suffer?" - Jeremy Bentham
NJARA's Veterinary Bill Assistance Program
- improving the quality of life for beloved animal companions
Imagine watching your four-legged family
member needlessly suffer because the veterinary care for her was simply
beyond your reach. [picture of family (mom, dad, 2 kids?) with horse,
since there are a lot of horse people in Hunterdon county, and maybe a
cat or dog]
Or, losing your trusted friend because your social security check covers
only basic needs for the both of you. [picture of older man and dog]
Or even being forced to give up or euthanize your beloved companion when
the simple veterinary bills for his diabetes become too high. [picture
of older woman and cat]
Sadly, these are the situations people find themselves in everyday.
In 1990 New Jersey Animal Rights Alliance created the Veterinary Bill
Assistance Program to help give animals the medical care they need and
keep them with their human
family. Since then, NJARA has helped animals such as Zack the horse who
needed to have his eye removed because of extreme neglect, Sassy the dog
with a heart condition, Greta the cat with her diabetes and hundreds
more.
Very few organizations provide this type of life saving support and
NJARA is proud to be able to offer our assistance. However, as you might
imagine, the needs far outweigh the means.
We ask that you make a generous tax-deductible contribution to this
program. Every dollar donated will be used exclusively for the
veterinary care of animals in need. Literally, your donation will be
saving lives.
Help us prevent suffering. Please send a generous donation today to make
someone's life a little brighter!
To make a donation by mail, simply send a
check, payable to NJARA to the address below. Be sure to mark VBAP in
the check's memo.
